The Breed

The Breed (2006) is a horror thriller directed by Nicholas Mastandrea — watch online on iFILM. Two brothers inherit a remote island cabin from their uncle and bring their friends along for the weekend. Then the dogs show up.

These aren't strays. A training compound on the island tells the whole ugly story: the animals were genetically engineered to kill, and they do it with a patience and coordination that feels almost tactical. Brothers Matt and John, along with Nicki played by Michelle Rodriguez and the rest of the group, are cut off — water on one side, teeth on the other. Oliver Hudson co-stars as they scramble to survive long enough to find a way off the island.
