Synopsis
Dragon Tiger Gate (龍虎門, 2006) is a Hong Kong martial arts action film directed by Wilson Yip — watch it online on iFILM. Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse head the cast in this adaptation of Tony Wong's long-running manhua comic series. Yen also served as action choreographer, which shows in every sequence.
Two step-brothers — Dragon and Tiger — grew up apart but trained the same way. When a self-proclaimed immortal warlord known as Shibumi threatens the city's streets, the two brothers and their ally Turbo must put aside years of distance and fight together. The villains get escalating, and so do the set pieces: the film's climactic battles lean hard into the visual grammar of the comic — airborne strikes, exaggerated impact, fighters who seem to bend physics mid-air.
This is not a film concerned with restraint. Wilson Yip and Yen deliver a kinetic, effects-heavy brawler that works best if you come in wanting exactly that — speed, style and Donnie Yen at full throttle. Stream Dragon Tiger Gate (2006) online on iFILM.
