Synopsis
"Destination Tokyo" (1943) — watch online a WWII submarine thriller with Cary Grant on iFILM, directed by Delmer Daves. Captain Cassidy (Grant) runs a tight boat and a crew that has learned to read his silences. The Pacific run takes them through Aleutian ice, Japanese air patrols, and depth-charge attacks that rattle every bolt on the hull. John Garfield plays torpedo man Wolf — cocky, restless, exactly the kind of man who gets under a captain's skin in a submarine and somehow proves indispensable. Between the action sequences, the film gives the crew time to talk, argue, and think about what they left behind.
