Synopsis
The Jungle Bunch (Les As de la Jungle, 2017) is a French animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Order in the jungle is kept by a ragtag squad of animals — led by a penguin who is utterly convinced he is a tiger.
Raised by a tigress, Maurice sports tiger stripes and trains in kung-fu, even if he is the clumsiest master around. With his mismatched band of friends, he sets out to guard the forest from every threat. The real danger arrives as Igor, a scheming koala determined to burn the jungle to the ground with an army of dim-witted baboons at his side. Saving home will take the whole Bunch, tripping over their own paws the entire way.
Spun off from a French TV series by studio TAT, the film moves at a brisk, cartoonish clip with no dead spots. The gags work for kids and parents alike, and the heroes are endearingly flawed — they win on stubbornness and friendship rather than muscle. A solid pick for family night with younger viewers.
