Synopsis
Oprah Winfrey Presents: When They See Us Now (2019) is a documentary special you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Mark Ritchie, it was filmed shortly after Ava DuVernay's limited series When They See Us landed on Netflix.
Oprah gathers all five exonerated men — Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise — alongside DuVernay and cast members Jharrel Jerome and Joshua Jackson. Each of the five spent years incarcerated for a 1989 Central Park attack they did not commit; DNA evidence and a separate confession cleared them more than a decade later. The conversation runs 61 minutes and earns every one of them — genuine reckoning rather than promotional gloss.
