Then the camp commander learns that one prisoner, Danny, used to be a champion boxer. He's forced into the ring to entertain the garrison. The other POWs spot an opening: while the guards are glued to the fights, they can dig and plan an escape. All Danny has to do is last — round after round, against anyone they put in front of him. Every minute he stays standing buys the rest a minute closer to freedom.
