Jones stitches together home video, grainy 1980s footage and candid sit-downs with Hawk and the people who were there: Stacy Peralta, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi. It doesn't skip past the cost, either — the injuries, the marriages, the strained ties with his kids.
