Upside-Down Magic

Upside-Down Magic (2020) is a Disney Channel family fantasy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Joe Nussbaum and based on the book series by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins. It follows thirteen-year-old Nory, whose magical powers refuse to behave the way the textbooks say they should.

When Nory and her best friend Reina enroll at Sage Academy, Reina's clean fire magic earns her a spot in the top class. Nory, who accidentally transforms into a cat-dragon hybrid instead of a normal kitten, gets sorted into the Upside-Down Magic group — students whose powers are unstable, unpredictable, and officially considered a problem. The academy wants them to suppress what they can do. Nory and her new classmates have other ideas.
