Tarzoon: Shame of the Jungle! (La Honte de la jungle, 1975) is an X-rated animated spoof you can watch online on iFILM. Forget the noble lord of the apes — this is Shame, a clueless jungle man whose mate June gets snatched by Queen Bazunga, a bald monarch who needs someone else's scalp to grow her hair back.

Shame's rescue trek is one long parade of nonsense: trigger-happy hunters, a wisecracking lion, the Molar Men and a horde of, let's say, deeply phallic creatures. Belgian cartoonist Picha and co-director Boris Szulzinger draw it crude and filthy on purpose, squarely in the lineage of Ralph Bakshi's Fritz the Cat. The English-language version was redubbed by comics from the National Lampoon crowd, and their ad-libs are what turned it into a cult oddity stateside.
