Angelino is nobody: a scrawny deadbeat in Dark Meat City who looks like a flaming skull on legs and owes rent everywhere. A scooter crash triggered by a fleeting vision of a mysterious woman scrambles his head, and suddenly the city's pedestrians are flickering into something monstrous. His buddy Vinz thinks it's stress. The men-in-black kicking down the door think differently. The deeper Angelino digs, the clearer it becomes that the rot running under the city has been watching him specifically for a long time.
