Synopsis
Starship Troopers: Invasion (2012) — watch online this animated sci-fi action film on iFILM. Directed by Shinji Aramaki, the Japanese-American CGI production drops back into the Federation universe: two starship crews combine to defend an outpost from a massive bug assault, and the mission falls apart the moment one ship vanishes without a word.
The surviving troopers go after it and find that the bug threat has moved much closer to Earth than anyone in command is willing to admit. Aramaki built the film entirely in CGI — every suit, explosion and insect limb rendered frame by frame — and the result is dense and kinetic in a way that live-action sequels to the franchise never quite managed. Karl Jenkins and the returning cast keep the continuity tight for fans of the series.
