Synopsis
Teke Teke (2009) is a Japanese horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Shiraiishi Akio and rooted in one of the country's most persistent urban legends. A girl was split in two by a train long ago. Now she drags herself on her hands through the night, nails scratching the ground. That scratching sound — teke teke — is where the name comes from.
Hear the story and you see her within three days. A group of teenagers stumbles into the curse and tries to trace it back to its source before time runs out. At 70 minutes the film moves at pace: mythology first, the hunt next, then the dread.
Shiraiishi builds his horror from familiar ground — a train station, a dark road, a rumour passed between friends. No elaborate creature effects. She is most frightening just before she appears. Stream Teke Teke (2009) online on iFILM.
