Synopsis
Noroi: The Curse (2005) is a Japanese found-footage horror film directed by Kôji Shiraishi — watch online on iFILM. Running 115 minutes, it presents itself as documentary footage left behind by journalist Masafumi Kobayashi, a paranormal investigator who disappeared without explanation.
The material he left covers several unrelated incidents: strange sounds in a neighbor's wall, a child with disturbing abilities, an abandoned village ritual. None of it seems connected at first. As Kobayashi digs deeper, the threads converge — toward an ancient entity called Kagutaba, and a pattern of deaths stretching back decades.
What sets the film apart from most found-footage horror is patience. Shiraishi builds dread through accumulation, not shocks — each piece of footage adds weight until the final stretch, which lands harder because of everything that came before. Widely regarded as one of the strongest entries in Asian horror of the 2000s. Stream Noroi: The Curse (2005) on iFILM.
