Synopsis
The Binge (2020) is an American teen comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It's 2032, drinking and drugs have been outlawed completely, and just one night a year the country is allowed to cut loose with no consequences. Three high school seniors have been counting down to it.
Griffin wants to ask the girl of his dreams to prom — and she happens to be the principal's daughter. To reach the best party in town, he drags his buddy Hags and a tagalong named Andrew on a reckless overnight dash. Standing in the way: violent siblings, wild animals loose in the streets, and the principal himself, a man who loathes a good time and is now scouring the city for his runaway daughter. Vince Vaughn plays that principal and goes off the rails as hard as the kids do. Skyler Gisondo, Dexter Darden and Eduardo Franco lead the trio.
Director Jeremy Garelick lifts the "one legal night of chaos" hook from The Purge and pours it into a drunken teenage romp. The humor is crude, the stakes are gleefully stupid, and the pace never lets up. It aims no higher than a fun night in, and on that it delivers.
