Synopsis
Silent Night (2012) is a Canadian-American holiday slasher you can watch online on iFILM. Director Steven C. Miller reworks the killer-Santa premise into a small-town Christmas Eve siege, with Malcolm McDowell as Sheriff Cooper and Jaime King as his deputy Aubrey Bradimore — the two people tasked with finding a methodical killer before he finds his next target.
The setup is its own punchline: the town's annual parade has filled every street with people in identical Santa suits. The killer judges his victims by his own moral code, works quickly, and blends right back into the crowd. Cooper and Aubrey have almost nothing to go on and very little time.
McDowell plays the sheriff with a straight face and evident relish, which is exactly the right call for material this deliberately outrageous. It's not trying to be anything other than a bloody, darkly comic genre exercise — and on those terms, it delivers. Watch Silent Night online on iFILM.
