Synopsis
Under the Bed (2012) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Teenager Neal comes home after two years away getting "help": he once swore a monster lived under his bed, set part of the house on fire, and everyone decided he was sick. The thing, however, never left.
Waiting at home are his father, his stepmother and his younger brother Paul (Gattlin Griffith), who's been hearing it more and more at night — the creak, the breathing, the shift of something in the dark beneath the mattress. The two boys band together against a creature the adults refuse to believe in. Almost everything plays out inside one quiet suburban house, and that very ordinariness is what brings the nightmare close: the monster hides not in a castle but in a kid's bedroom.
Director Steven C. Miller delivers an old-fashioned scare about a childhood fear made flesh — light on jokes, heavy on dread, with a notably brutal, gory payoff in the final act. It's a small, uneven picture with budget effects, but the premise — what you feared at six is real — does its work. It'll click with fans of low-budget creature creep-shows.
