Synopsis
The Horror Show (1989) is a supernatural slasher you can watch online on iFILM. They strapped serial killer "Meat Cleaver" Max Jenke into the electric chair and threw the switch. It didn't take. Max claws his way back from the dead to settle a score with the cop who caught him.
Detective Lucas put Jenke away, but the nightmare is only starting. The dead killer burrows into the wiring of Lucas's house, slips into his dreams, and bleeds the line between sleep and waking until the family can't tell which is which. Lance Henriksen of Aliens fame plays the haunted detective, with Brion James grinning through the role of Max.
Director James Isaac came up through practical effects, and it shows — buckets of gore, rubber-monster mayhem, and very little patience for logic. That's the charm of late-'80s video-store horror. Fans of nasty, no-apology slashers will have a blast. Stream The Horror Show (1989) online on iFILM.
