She was turned against her will back in the 19th century, and 164 years later the grudge still burns. Her target is Dmitry, one of the oldest and deadliest vampires alive, now hunting an artifact that grants immortality. She can't take him alone. So Mia leans on Sercan's group of humans, gets help from Numel, a vampire who walked away from the dark, and watches her mentor Karmen drag a tragic past into the open. From there it's a chase for the dagger, betrayals on both sides, and a brewing war between mortals and vampires that forces Mia to pick a side.
