Synopsis
The Beast in Me (2025) is an American psychological thriller series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Antonio Campos and Layla Neugébauer, the show stars Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys in a slow, suffocating mind game between two people who each know more than they let on.
A celebrated author. A new neighbor — wealthy, magnetic, and tied to an unresolved murder investigation. He moves in next door, and the careful distance she keeps from the world starts to collapse. The show's tagline says it plainly: "Pain needs a partner." Brittany Snow, Natalie Morales and Jonathan Banks round out the cast, each holding pieces of a puzzle that refuses to resolve cleanly.
Campos built his reputation on unsettling character studies — Christine, The Devil All the Time — and here he strips the thriller mechanics down to their bones. Tension comes from what characters don't say. Claire Danes anchors every scene, playing a woman who writes darkness for a living and finds herself inside it.
