Synopsis

The Royal is run by a weathered landlord (Hugo Weaving) with his own set of unspoken rules. The regulars are local miners — friendly enough on the surface, then less so. What begins as low-level discomfort — unwanted attention, a joke that goes too far, a comment that hangs in the air — accumulates into something the two women cannot easily name or escape.
Green directs this the way she made The Assistant: no outright violence, no dramatic confrontation scene — just the slow tightening of a situation where the women's signals are ignored and the environment itself becomes the threat.
