Synopsis
The Physician II (Der Medicus II, 2025) is the historical drama you can watch online on iFILM — Philipp Stölzl's sequel to the screen version of Noah Gordon's novel. England, around 1050 AD. Robert Cole returns home with his child after his wife's death, carrying the medicine of the East into a country that doesn't want it.

Barred from the city by its own rules, Robert sets up an infirmary beyond the gates and treats the people London turned away. Word of his skill reaches the king, whose daughter has fallen ill — and at court the physician has to defend the right to heal with stubbornness as much as knowledge, against guild doctors who feel their authority slipping. It's mounted on a lavish costume-drama scale yet driven by that clash of old medicine and new.
