Synopsis
Teddy (2020) is a French horror-comedy with a coming-of-age streak you can watch online on iFILM. Somewhere in a sleepy village below the Pyrenees, an unknown beast prowls the woods and rattles the locals, while the story stays fixed on one aimless nineteen-year-old.
Teddy has no schooling and no plan: he lives with his adoptive uncle and picks up shifts at a massage parlour, while his girlfriend Rebecca finishes school and lines up a bright future far from here. Then, on a full-moon night, something out in the dark claws him. The weeks after turn strange — itching skin, sprouting hair, a hunger and a rage he never had before. Anthony Bajon plays the change with no movie-monster swagger, just an ordinary provincial summer quietly going feral.
Twin brothers Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma made the film, reworking the werewolf myth into a story about poverty, resentment and being stuck where you were born. It landed in the official Cannes 2020 selection. A treat for anyone who likes genres bleeding together — funny, sad and genuinely unsettling at once.
