Synopsis
Meet the Blacks (2016) is an American comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Deon Taylor built it as a straight parody of The Purge: Carl Black moves his family from Chicago to Beverly Hills — the timing puts them in a new mansion on the one night a year when every crime goes unpunished for twelve hours. Mike Epps plays Carl, and the joke is that he has more enemies than he remembered.
Old acquaintances show up at the door with grievances. New neighbours turn out to be just as dangerous. George Lopez, Mike Tyson, Charlie Murphy and Snoop Dogg all turn up in cameo roles, each of them making the Blacks' night considerably worse. The film does not bother with plot mechanics — it is a string of sketch setups around the same premise, each one pushed a little further into the ridiculous.
