Trucker

"Trucker" (2008) is a drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by James Mottern and built around Michelle Monaghan's performance. Diane Ford is a long-haul driver with a life arranged exactly as she likes it: no fixed commitments, no one depending on her. Then the father of her eleven-year-old son lands in hospital, and the boy has nowhere else to go.

Monaghan plays Diane without softening the edges or rushing the inevitable emotional turns — it's the main reason to see this. Jimmy Bennett holds his own as Peter, and Nathan Fillion and Benjamin Bratt fill out the corners of her world.
