The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra (2001) is a deadpan parody you can watch online on iFILM. Director Larry Blamire shot it in crisp black-and-white as a pitch-perfect send-up of 1950s low-budget sci-fi, right down to the wooden dialogue and cardboard set dressing. A hapless scientist drags his clueless wife into the mountains to locate a downed meteorite carrying rare atmospherium — and promptly runs into extraterrestrials, a rival mad scientist, and the ancient, irritable skeleton of Cadavra.

Blamire plays the lead scientist himself, which gives the whole thing an inside-joke warmth that bigger spoofs tend to miss. The film commits completely to its bit — no winking asides, just total deadpan — and that straight-faced devotion to B-movie conventions is exactly what makes it work.
