Synopsis
Christmas Holidays (Vacanze di Natale, 1983) is an Italian ensemble comedy directed by Carlo Vanzina — watch it online on iFILM. The cast includes Jerry Calà, Christian De Sica, Stefania Sandrelli and a young Claudio Amendola.
December 1983. The ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo draws together a cross-section of Italian society for the holidays: a wealthy snob who can't hide his contempt for anyone, a working-class Roman who falls for the wrong woman at exactly the wrong time, a singer with unfinished romantic business, and a married woman tired of pretending. Their stories overlap the way they do in any small resort town where everyone ends up at the same aprés-ski bar.
