Synopsis

Pascal (Thierry Lhermitte) runs a clothing shop and collects women without much effort. His best friend Micky (Coluche) is a clumsy club DJ who has spent years living off Pascal's conquests instead of having his own. Then comes Viviane — beautiful, icy, there only for the season (Isabelle Huppert). Pascal falls hard, then leaves town, and Micky is left alone beside her. What both men feared takes over. When Pascal comes back, someone has to choose between the woman and the friendship.
Blier isn't making a breezy love comedy but a bitter farce about male friendship, jealousy and the inability to be honest. Coluche, usually a comic, plays it close to tragedy, while Huppert keeps Viviane unreadable enough to hold them both. French cinema for viewers who like their laughs with a sting.
