Synopsis
Tchao Pantin (1983) is a French crime drama directed by Claude Berri — watch it online on iFILM. A late-night petrol station in Paris's 18th arrondissement. Lambert runs the night shift, keeps a bottle close, and prefers silence to company.
Bensoussan rides in one night on a stolen moped, spinning a story about a spark plug. Lambert sees through it and lets him stay anyway. What develops between the two is less a friendship than a mutual tolerance — until the small-time drug trade Bensoussan is caught up in drags them both toward something irreversible.
The film is remembered above all for what it did to Coluche — France's best-known stand-up comedian, who stripped away every comic instinct and delivered a performance of quiet devastation.
