The change comes when a casual affair with a visiting film director (Jean-Pierre Bouvier) starts to feel like more than that. Her husband's response — conventional jealousy, something entirely absent from the earlier films — upends the arrangement. This third chapter is the most melodramatic of the series; the erotic surface gives way to something that asks whether sexual freedom and genuine love can occupy the same space.
