Synopsis

Both turn up at the family's country house with company — he with his mistress Irene, she with her secretary. The collision is no accident. Their teenage daughter Angela, who walks on crutches, has quietly arranged the whole thing, and over dinner she starts a round of "Chinese roulette," a parlor game of pointed questions that drags every buried resentment into the open. Margit Carstensen, Anna Karina and Brigitte Mira play people locked in one house with their own deceptions.
Cinematographer Michael Ballhaus films them through glass, mirrors and crystal, turning the villa into a display case where nobody can hide.
