Synopsis
Blood & Gold (2023) is a German WWII action film directed by Peter Thorwarth — watch it online on iFILM. Spring 1945, the war down to its last weeks. Deserter Heinrich is trying to reach his daughter when an SS unit catches him and strings him up. A young farmer named Elsa cuts him down and hides him in her barn.
Robert Maaser plays Heinrich, Jördis Triebel is Elsa. While she keeps him out of sight, the SS squad led by von Starnfeld is tearing through the area searching for Jewish valuables hidden in the nearby village — and several locals have already decided the gold should stay with them. The two storylines converge in a showdown inside a village church.
