Synopsis
Storm Warning (2007) is a brutal Australian survival horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Jamie Blanks, the director behind Urban Legend and Valentine, is at the helm, and the tagline says it plainly: survival can be murder.
Rob and Pia take a boat out and get caught in a storm. The boat is wrecked, and they wash up in deep wilderness, walled off by impassable forest. Ducking the rain, they stumble onto a farmhouse stocked with a serious marijuana crop. It isn't abandoned — it has owners, and those two are far worse than the weather outside. What follows is a long night in which polite, city-bred Pia has to dig up something she never knew she had.
Blanks works in the ozploitation tradition: grimy, cramped, no mercy for the audience, leaning hard on inventive cruelty and tightening claustrophobia.
