Synopsis

At the center is prosecutor Julio Strassera (Ricardo Darín), handed an impossible job: build a case against the military men who tortured and disappeared their own people for years. In a matter of months they must turn thousands of survivor testimonies into a verdict, all while threats keep arriving at every hour.
The film restages the mid-1980s trial that became the first time anywhere in Latin America that a civilian court convicted its own military rulers. Darín plays it quiet, almost weary, which makes the closing argument land harder than any speech.
