SoulMate (七月与安生, 2016), directed by Derek Tsang, is a Chinese coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM. Qiyue and Ansheng have been inseparable since they were thirteen. One is cautious and rooted; the other burns to escape.

Their bond stretches across two decades — until a young man named Jiaming makes both of them want different versions of the same life. The story unfolds in fragments of memory, cycling back to the question of who gave up what for whom. Zhou Dongyu and Ma Sichun play the leads with enough restraint and heat that the Golden Horse jury awarded both of them Best Actress in the same year — a split decision that almost never happens.
