Loch Ness

Loch Ness (1996) is a family film you can watch online on iFILM. American scientist Jonathan Dempsey arrives in Scotland with a tidy plan: sweep the lake with sonar within a week and prove the famous monster is nothing but a tourist-trap myth. One skeptic and his gear against a legend that has held for fifteen centuries.

Ted Danson plays Dempsey, and his certainty starts to crack as the villagers stop looking like cranks. Laura (Joely Richardson), who runs the local inn, and her young daughter are guarding a secret that makes all his instruments look useless: Nessie is real, and there's a whole family of them. Ian Holm adds color as a weathered local who knows the water well.

It's a gentle story about a grown rationalist learning to believe in wonder again, shot among the genuine peaks and lochs of the Highlands by director John Henderson.
