Synopsis

David Reynolds is driving through a Colombian storm with his fiancée and stepdaughter when the car goes over a cliff. The survivors take shelter at a secluded inn, where they find the owner has locked a young girl in a cell covered in cryptic markings. Freeing her seems like the only decent thing to do. It is not.
The film's tension comes from slowly learning the rules — what Ana Maria actually is, how it moves between bodies, and why the locals were so desperate to keep her contained. Garcia holds back the explanation longer than most genre films would, and that restraint is where The Damned earns its scares. Stream it online on iFILM.
