Altar

Altar (2014) is Nick Willing's British horror film, free to watch online on iFILM. A family of restorers moves into a remote old manor on the Yorkshire Moors without knowing why it sat empty so long.

Olivia Williams plays the restorer hired to bring the gloomy house back to life, with Matthew Modine as her husband handling the building work and two kids in tow. The more they strip the walls and open up the shut rooms, the more the father starts to change — as if the place is slowly learning how to use him. The history of the previous owners, and a secret built into the house itself, seeps out room by room.
