Synopsis
Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor (2023) is an American found-footage horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Stephen Cognetti as the latest chapter in his Hell House LLC franchise.
The Carmichael family vanished in 1989. The eldest daughter died in a car crash; the mother and younger daughter were found murdered inside the house; the father and son disappeared without a trace. The case was never solved. In 2021, the founder of an online cold-case community gets permission to spend five nights in the long-abandoned manor with her friend and her brother. On their first walkthrough they find a storage room full of clown mannequins.
Cognetti keeps his formula intact: long quiet corridors, stationary cameras, and the creeping feeling that something in the background has moved. The mannequins are still the franchise's sharpest tool, and this entry uses them sparingly enough to keep them unsettling. Best watched with the lights off.
