Synopsis
Watch online Nightshift Collection (1994), a pairing of two short Stephen King adaptations, streaming on iFILM. Horror and drama drawn from his celebrated "Night Shift" stories.
The set brings together Frank Darabont's The Woman in the Room (1984) and Jeff Schiro's The Boogeyman (1982). These are King's famous "dollar babies," films he licensed to up-and-coming directors for a token one-dollar fee. Darabont's piece is the real find, since he would go on to make The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Both stories stay small and grim: a loved one's terminal illness, and a childhood fear that turns out to be far more real than any grown-up will admit.
