Synopsis

Journalist Maury Terry never accepted that ending. He spent years tracing a theory: Berkowitz had accomplices, the murders were tied to a Satanic cult, and the trail ran through a man named John Carr into a wider occult network. A 1993 prison interview with Berkowitz — who confirmed key points of the theory — deepened rather than resolved the mystery. Paul Giamatti narrates.
