About

Synopsis

The D Train (2015) is an American comedy-drama with Jack Black and James Marsden that you can watch online on iFILM. Dan heads the alumni committee for his 20th high school reunion — a role that comes with zero social capital. His plan to change that: fly to Los Angeles, track down Oliver Lawless (Marsden), the class golden boy now coasting on sunscreen commercials, and bring him back as the headline attraction.

Dan lies to his wife (Kathryn Hahn), covers his tracks at work with his long-suffering boss played by Jeffrey Tambor, and then one unplanned night in LA creates a problem that dwarfs everything else. Directors Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul are less interested in reunion comedy than in the specific discomfort of men who still let high school define them. Black plays against type here — Dan isn't loud or anarchic, just desperate in ways that land closer to cringe than laugh. Stream The D Train (2015) online on iFILM.
