Paddleton

Paddleton (2019) is a quiet American drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Alexandre Lehmann. Michael (Ray Romano) and Andy (Mark Duplass) are two middle-aged loners who live in the same building, eat bad takeout, watch kung-fu movies and play a made-up game they call Paddleton on the roof of an abandoned drive-in.

Then Andy gets a terminal cancer diagnosis. The film doesn't treat that as a dramatic turning point so much as a logistical problem the two of them have to navigate together — a long drive to pick up medication, motel rooms, silences, and conversations that keep circling the thing neither man wants to say out loud. Romano, almost always cast for laughs, is genuinely heartbreaking here.
