Benji

Benji (1974) is a family adventure you can watch online, directed by Joe Camp and shot largely from a stray dog's eye level. The scruffy mutt roams a small town, mooching meals and affection wherever he goes.

His favorite people are two kids whose parents won't let them keep him around. Then the children are kidnapped, and the grown-ups and police hit a dead end — only Benji can follow the scent to where they're hidden. Camp keeps the camera down low, so you read the chase the way the dog does: knee-high, nose-first. It is gentle, free of violence, and easy to put on for young viewers, with a soft payoff waiting at the end: the homeless pup just might earn the home he's been after.
