Synopsis
Assault on VA-33 (2021) is Christopher Ray's American action thriller, ready to watch online on iFILM. A decorated army veteran walks into his local VA hospital for a routine check-up and ends up the only thing standing between armed insurgents and a building full of hostages.
Jason Hill is a soldier living with PTSD, just there to see his doctor. That's when a heavily armed terrorist cell breaches the building and seizes everyone inside, including a decorated general and Hill's own wife. No backup is coming. Outnumbered and on his own, the trained veteran has to clear floor after floor before the captors make good on their threats.
Sean Patrick Flanery leads, backed by martial-arts heavyweights Michael Jai White and Mark Dacascos. The battlefield comes home, as the tagline puts it, and the result is a lean single-location shoot-out in the Die Hard mold — corridors, stairwells, fists and gunfire, no pretensions.
