Elves (Season 1)

Elves (Nisser, 2021) is a Danish horror series you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes that turn a family Christmas getaway into something far colder than the Scandinavian winter outside. A family arrives on a remote island expecting quiet and pine trees. What they find is a secret the locals have been keeping for generations.

A teenage girl stumbles onto a creature hidden in the forest, and from that point the show methodically dismantles the idea of a cosy holiday. Director Roni Ezra grounds the story in the island's closed community — people who understand the rules, and exactly what breaks when an outsider ignores them. The cast is led by Vivelill Søgaard Holm and Ann Eleonora Jørgensen.
