Synopsis
Cemetery Man (DellaMorte DellAmore, 1994) — an Italian-German-French horror-comedy directed by Michele Soavi — is available to watch online on iFILM. Rupert Everett plays Francesco Dellamorte, the groundskeeper of a small-town cemetery where the freshly buried have a habit of climbing back out seven days after interment.
Francesco keeps things simple: bullet to the skull, back in the ground. Then a beautiful widow arrives, and the routine starts to unravel. The film wears its zombie premise lightly — what Soavi is really after is a portrait of a man so detached from the living that the undead barely register as a problem. Anna Falchi co-stars, and the film adapts Tiziano Sclavi's novel of the same name.
