Synopsis
Lake Bodom (Bodom, 2016) is a Finnish horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Taneli Mustonen built it around one of Finland's most notorious cold cases: on a June night in 1960, three teenagers were stabbed to death at a lakeside campsite; decades later the sole survivor became the prime suspect.
Four teens drive out to re-enact the original campsite setup. None of them is being honest about why they're really there. Mustonen uses the audience's knowledge of the real case against them — every time you think you've worked out where the threat is coming from, the film pivots. Nelly Hirst-Gee, Mimosa Willamo, and Mikael Gabriel carry the tension through a tight 84-minute runtime that never pads out the dread.
It works best as a psychological trap rather than straight slasher — the historical backdrop is the point, not just set dressing. Stream Lake Bodom (2016) online on iFILM.
