Synopsis
The Bayou (2025) is a British horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Taneli Mustonen and Brad Watson, it strands a small group of plane crash survivors deep in the Louisiana wetlands — no signal, no rescue in sight, and the only path out runs straight through alligator country.
The setup is lean: the plane goes down fast, the survivors are disoriented, and the swamp closes in almost immediately. Athena Strates leads the cast as the group tries to work out who among them can hold it together long enough to find a way back. The film earns its tension from the environment itself — shallow water, low visibility, and the particular helplessness of not knowing what is underneath you.
Mustonen, who previously made the Finnish horror Bodom, keeps the pacing tight and the CGI minimal, which gives The Bayou more physical weight than most creature features in its budget range. Stream it on iFILM.
