Plan 9 from Outer Space
Unspeakable horrors from outer space paralyze the living and resurrect the dead!
Synopsis
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) is an American sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Edward D. Wood Jr. Seventy-eight minutes of flying saucers, reanimated corpses, and cardboard sets that have become a kind of outsider cinema landmark.
Aliens pursuing their ninth strategy for Earth domination — the previous eight having failed — decide to resurrect the recently buried at a rural California cemetery. The dead rise. A police lieutenant and a commercial pilot start putting the pieces together while the alien crew, Eros and Tanna, debate whether humanity even deserves to survive.
Wood shot this with essentially no budget in 1957. Béla Lugosi died before filming wrapped, and his scenes were completed by a chiropractor holding a cape over his face. Critics eventually declared it the worst film ever made, which is exactly what turned it into a cult fixture — something that has to be seen not despite what it is, but because of it.
