Synopsis
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) is a science-fiction comedy by Garth Jennings you can watch online on iFILM. Ordinary Englishman Arthur Dent wakes up to find a bulldozer parked outside his house.
Minutes later the whole planet is scheduled for demolition to clear room for an interstellar bypass. Arthur (Martin Freeman) is yanked off Earth by his friend Ford Prefect (Yasiin Bey), who turns out to be an alien researching a galactic travel guide. What follows: a stolen spaceship, a chronically depressed robot named Marvin voiced by Alan Rickman, two-headed Galactic President Zaphod (Sam Rockwell) and Trillian (Zooey Deschanel), the woman Arthur once failed to ask out at a party.
